Enrolled students who need help with their personal computers need only visit or call the nearest ACE location for free support. Walk-ins welcome — no appointment necessary!
All students can request help with network connectivity, mobile email setup, Microsoft software installation, virus/Trojan horse issues, spyware/malware infections. Limited hardware support is also available for most systems.
Students who purchase a Dell, Lenovo or Mac system through the ACE Initiative program are also eligible for full repair service while the system is under warranty.
Each year, academic departments identify computer requirements by program or major. While it is not required that students purchase a computer through ECU, the Dowdy Student Stores computer department does offer online purchase of computers specifically designed to meet program requirements, including the Lenovo and Apple systems included in the ACE Initiative program. Other vendors include Dell and HP.
Partnerships with Lenovo and Apple provide affordable computers to ECU students through the ECU Dowdy Student Stores. These systems include all academic program specifications.
The ACE Student Computer Support Center is a certified, full-service repair center for Lenovo and Apple computers. Students who take advantage of the ACE Initiative program are eligible for full hardware support and repair for systems still under warranty. A valid One Card is required at the time of purchase.
