The Greenville RICC serves as a planning partner with the Greenville Children's Developmental Services Agency (CDSA) providing advice and assistance with activities such as Child Find and public awareness, community needs assessment, system evaluation, and professional development. The role of the council is to develop and monitor the early intervention plan in collaboration with the CDSA. The Greenville RICC also provides a forum for public input from parents, services providers, service coordinators, and others about federal, state and local policies that support the timely delivery of appropriate early intervention services.
The council is comprised of parents of children with disabilities, early intervention service providers, health care professionals, state agency representatives, and others interested in early intervention. Counties served by the Greenville RICC are Beaufort, Bertie, Greene, Hyde, Martin, Pitt, and Wayne. Meetings are held quarterly.
