The ECU Student Activities Board is the group of student leaders responsible for planning, budgeting, and executing events on the East Carolina University campus. Catering to the entire student body, with a budget of approximately $400,000, the Board supports interactive, educational, recreational, and entertaining activities.  The Board is comprised of six distinct committees: Entertainment, Films, Initiatives, Promotions, Special Events, and Visual Arts.  Information about each committee, including descriptions, chairperson information, and event details can be found by clicking the committee links on the left panel of this page.

It's time for you to get involved!

The Student Activities Board fosters student development and leadership among members by providing a hands-on, learning-oriented service to the ECU community.  Students play an integral role in the selection of bands, comedians, films, lectures, artwork, novelty attractions, etc.  They also play an essential role in the day-to-day operations of the Student Activities and Organizations Office.

We invite you to explore our organization and encourage you to get involved.  Our organization is open to all registered ECU students.  All you have to do is communicate your interest to the committee chair(s) or simply show up to at least one of the regularly scheduled meetings.  The meeting dates, times, and locations can be found on their information pages.  Committee members routinely assist with activity/program selection, event planning, event execution, marketing, assessment, and various other duties associated with our programs.  They also experience a few perks, such as having one-on-one interaction with high profile entertainers, receiving backstage passes and/or giveaways, etc.

Tomorrow starts here.  What are you going to make of it?
