New ECU ID (previously known as Banner ID)
All faculty, staff and students are being assigned a unique “ECU ID” that identifies you at East Carolina University. The university is replacing all Social Security numbers with this new ID to better protect your identity and confidential information, and to comply with the Identity Theft Protection Act.
This second ID does not replace your PirateID.
Your ECU ID will be required for a number of very important functions such as:
- Taking placement tests for math, chemistry and foreign languages (students)
- Accessing your academic record (courses taken, grades, etc.)
- Travel advances and reimbursements (faculty and staff)
If you forget your ECU ID, you can find it in OneStop. After you've logged in, click "What is my ECU (Banner) ID?" in the Banner section. You can also contact the IT Help Desk at 252.328.9866 for assistance or click the "My ECU ID" button within https://pirateid.ecu.edu after you register your PirateID. |
