East Carolina University recognizes the important role community college advisors have in guiding students through their transition to a four-year institution.  We hope this information will be useful as you assist students applying to ECU.

Fall 2015 Transfer Profile

For the fall 2015 semester, we received over 4,400 applications and enrolled a class of approximately 1,890 students. Those offered admission had the following academic credentials:

  • At least 24 hours of transferable credit by the end of their current semester
  • Have equivalent credit for our English 1100
  • Earned at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA

All transfer students must:

  • Submit an online application.
  • Pay the $70 nonrefundable application fee.
  • Submit ALL official transcripts from each college, technical institute, or university attended. Official electronic transcripts from most transcript services are accepted. Otherwise, please have all official documents sent in a sealed/signed envelope.

The Degree Explorer provides quick access to the following information: learn what makes this particular degree special at ECU, what courses students in this program will study, what career opportunities could this degree unlock for graduates who have earned the degree, and much more.
