Financial Aid

The Office of Student Financial Aid provides education, guidance, and support to individuals and families who need financial help. Aid for qualifying students is available through Federal, State and Institutional programs. To apply for financial aid, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). We encourage all families to fill out the FAFSA, as 75% of our students receive some form of financial assistance. The FAFSA becomes available on October 1. ECU's priority deadline for the FAFSA is February 14 and funds are awarded on a first come, first served basis.

The university also offers scholarships to those that prove the need for financial help. Incoming freshman, transfer students, and current students are eligible for scholarships. There is a separate application process for scholarships, and they are awarded by the Office of University Scholarships. The deadline for most university scholarships is January 15.
