New Student Orientation Events
The New Student Orientation program is designed to assist students with the transition to East Carolina University. During the summer, the program is two days during which you will take placement tests (if necessary), meet with an advisor, register for classes, discover resources available to you on campus, learn about student organizations, get your 1 Card (student ID), meet new friends, and HAVE FUN! You will also meet ECU staff, faculty, and an Orientation Assistant--an upper class student who can answer all your questions about life at ECU. Transfer Student Orientation
The Transfer Student Orientation program is designed to assist students with the transition to East Carolina University. ECU also offers an online orientation option for transfer or distance learning students.

Fall Open House at ECU
Specific date and time to be announced. This event begins with an Opening Session in Wright Auditorium followed by an academic and student affairs fair in our Student Recreation Center. Guests are given an opportunity to tour the campus, meet with faculty and staff from academic programs and services, tour the residence halls, Joyance Library, and dine in the campus dining halls.
Presentations include: Financial Aid Workshop, Admissions Information Session, Major Exploration Session, and a Current Student Panel. Open House occurs twice per year, in the Fall and Spring. A detailed itinerary will be provided the day of the event.
