SERSAS, the Southeastern Regional Seminar on African Studies is pleased to announce the schedule for its Spring 2001 conference, to be held at Northern Kentucky University (right across the mighty Ohio River from Cincinnati, Ohio) on April 6th and 7th. Visit the NKU website at

A special conference rate of $70 has been arranged at the Comfort Suites hotel on the River in Newport (convenient both to Cincinnati and NKU). Call (859)291-6700 to make reservations between 19 March and 6 April. When making reservations, be sure to say they are for the SERSAS conference at NKU.

SERSAS takes great pride in providing a friendly and collegial atmosphere which facilitates the open exchange of scholarly perspectives. Faculty are encouraged to bring graduate and undergraduate students as a means of introducing them to the workings of an academic conference.
