Foundations Area StudiosStudio Policies Due to the high number of Foundation Students at any one time, it is necessary for students to share studio space. Once accepted into a concentration, individual studio space will be allotted. It is expected that students will act responsibly in the use of the School of Art facility, equipment and tools. All cutting must be done on a cutting mat or protected surface. Cutting on exposed counter tops, desks and floors damages those surfaces permanently. Materials that are taking up shared workspace will be discarded. The maintenance crew will generally empty trash cans on a nightly basis. Should you fail to find an empty one there is a dumpster outside the West end of the building. Secure a locker for yourself and clearly label it with your name and the semester & year.
