ECU Field Station for Coastal Studies
at Mattamuskeet

   

Partners and Cooperators

ECU has established strong working relationships with federal and non-profit entities to assist in developing the Field Station concept and program. ECU and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service have an agreement for housing the Field Station at the Mattamuskeet National Wildlife Refuge in the majestic Mattamuskeet Lodge, a building of national historic importance. The Partnership for the Sounds, a non-profit organization with ties to the NC Department of Environment, Health, and Natural Resources, has provided funding for modest renovations to the building and major funding for architectural design.
