The Wind Ensemble includes 60 of the finest woodwind,
brass and percussion instrumentalists at East Carolina
University. They perform traditional and contemporary
symphonic band repertoire and chamber music at five concerts
each year, and usually have a two-day concert tour in
February.
The Wind Ensemble rehearses
Tuesday and Thursday; 12 noon - 1:50 PM. Auditions are held at the beginning of each
semester.
The Symphonic Band consists of 70 select woodwind, brass
and percussion instrumentalists. Although most of the
members of this group are music majors, several talented
students from other disciplines also participate. Auditions
are held at the beginning of each semester.
Each year, the students who participate perform four
concerts of established wind band repertoire as well as
contemporary band literature. In the Fall and Spring semesters the
Symphonic Band
rehearses Tuesday and Thursday; 2 - 3:50 PM.
Concert Band
Approximately 70 students take part in the Concert Band,
enjoying continued musical involvement at the university
level without excessive performance pressures or rehearsal
time. There are no auditions, and membership is open to all
University students. The band rehearses in the Fall semester on
Tuesday and Thursday, 4:00 - 4:50 PM, and in the Spring
Semester on Monday and Wednesday, 4:00 - 4:50 PM. The Concert Band performs two
concerts per semester.

it, we encourage you to join this band.
Basketball Pep Band
The ECU Basketball Pep
Band consists of 40 students representing many degrees from
across campus. The band performs at all men's and women's basketball home
games as well as the men's and women's Conference-USA tournaments.
Members of the band receive academic credit for participation and are paid for
each performance.
Volleyball Band
The ECU Volleyball Band consists of approximately 25 band members who volunteer
and commit to perform at five home games for ECU Women's Volleyball throughout
the Fall semester. This rowdy bunch of ECU-crazed band members each
receive an ECU Volleyball band shirt, as well as a free meal at each game.
