Dave Jackson
Assistant Drumline Instructor

Hailing from Toledo Ohio, Dave has been performing and teaching percussive marching arts for 11 years. With multiple seasons of both indoor and outdoor marching percussion served with the Maumee High School Marching Pride (2002-2006), he then went on to perform in the Appalachian State University Marching Mountaineers (2006,2007). While pursuing a career in music education, he put on hold his degree program to perform with the WGI percussion ensemble Constitution (2007, 2008, PIW). Following his two seasons with the group, Dave spent an indoor season marching with Odyssey Percussion Theatre (2009, PIW). He also performed with the Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps in the 2008 and 2009 competition seasons. To finish out his marching career, Dave aged-out playing bass drum for the 2010 WGI silver-medalist Rhythm X.

Throughout his performing career, Dave taught and consulted with numerous high schools as both a musical and visual technician, which include the Maumee High School Marching Pride, Forestview High School Marching Jaguars , David W. Butler High School Band and the Findlay Trojan Marching Band to name a few. He is proud to currently be the Director of Percussion with the West Johnston High School Band and the Corinth Holders High School Band in Johnston County, NC.

During the summer he spends time flying around the country teaching for Superior Band Camps. In his "free time" he performers duties as a percussion writer at many high school programs, and performs duties as the Assistant Director of Forza East Independent Percussion from Greenville, NC. This is his second year with the EC Marching Pirates. Dave currently lives in Raleigh, NC.
