The Bioethics Collaborative
Established in 1995, the Bioethics Collaborative is a joint program of Pitt County Memorial Hospital and The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. The Collaborative was established to provide educational opportunities for hospital staff, physicians, students, and faculty, and to support the work of hospital committees charged with addressing ethical issues. The Bioethics Collaborative sponsors bioethics conferences, workshops and lectures for the University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina and regional audiences and is staffed by the faculty of the Department of Bioethics and Interdisciplinary Studies and is directed by Dr. Mary Ellen Wojtasiewicz.
