Shaping People. Shaping Business.

Alpha Kappa Psi (AKP) Fraternity was founded October 5, 1904, in New York, at NYU and today is one of the oldest and largest professional business fraternities. The fraternity was incorporated on May 20, 1905 and the current headquarters is in Indianapolis, Indiana.

"The Brooklyn Four" of 1904 (Howard M. Jefferson, Frederic R. Leach, Nathan Lane, Jr., and George L. Bergen) attended NYU night classes together and trekked over the Brooklyn Bridge each night on their way home. It is said that their strong bond was the basis of the brotherhood that developed and eventually evolved into the nationwide AKP fraternity.
