The mission of the East Carolina University College of Business is to be a highly respected regional business school.
The mission is achieved by:

  • Preparing undergraduate and graduate students for careers in business
  • Expanding knowledge of business disciplines through theoretical and applied research, and
  • Serving practitioners with training and applied research.

Strategic Goals:

  • The COB will provide a high quality, flexible business education distinguished by high value and high student contact that prepares students for careers in the 21st century.
  • The COB will excel at educating graduate and undergraduate students to assume positions of leadership in their profession and community.
  • The COB will engage in economic outreach, development, and education for eastern North Carolina.
  • The COB will encourage and support faculty making intellectual contributions in the form of academic, applied, and pedagogical scholarship.

  • ECU Undergraduate Programs accredited in 1967
  • ECU Graduate Programs accredited in 1976
  • Of more than 1300 Graduate Business Programs nationwide, only 454
       are accredited by AACSB.

  • 138 top MBA programs part of GMAC (GMAC owns GMAT)
