The operating systems on the ECU research computers are some flavor
of UNIX. The
UNIX tutorial provides a useful introduction to UNIX.
Only short (less than 10 minutes) cacluations are allowed to be run
interactively on any research computer. All other calculations must be submitted
to the LSF batch scheduler. A brief introdcution to LSF can be found
here.
to assist the user community with using the LSF batch scheduler to run
the various application sotware, some scripts have been written. These scripts
can be found in the following directory on any of the research computers
/usr/local/apps/chemistry_scripts
Documentation on how to use each script is contained within the script.
