Child Development & Family Relations
       Minor in Child Development and Family Relations
This minor provides students with the basic fundamentals of Child Development and Family Relations. Students gain a greater knowledge of a variety of issues relating to children, the elderly, and families as a whole. The program provides a strong base knowledge of elements that enhances students skill sets in other disciplines.
 
The minor in child development and family relations requires semester hours (24 s.h.) including 12 s.h. of the following core courses:

CDFR 2000 Child Development I – Prenatal through Early Childhood (3)
CDFR 2001 Child Development II – Middle Childhood through Adolescence (3)
CDFR 3002 Child in the Family (3)

Electives from child development and family relations courses above 1999: 9 s.h
CDFR 2021 , CDFR 2123 , and CDFR 2124 may not count toward minor.
