Marital relationships and child rearing practices
Resource development and practical application of financial management
Community development and collaborative relationships with community agencies and organizations
Strategies and methods of working with diverse families and clientele
Teaching methods and curriculum development in family life education
Program planning and evaluation
Certifications
After completing their degree in the family studies track, students have met the academic qualifications to apply for certification as a Certified Family Life Educator through the National Council on Family Relations at http://www.ncfr.org/.
