Preschool Add-On License Program |
The Preschool Add-on license program prepares individuals to work in inclusive settings with children from three to five years of age, with and without disabilities, including those at risk, and their families. It is NOT the same as a Birth through Kindergarten (BK) license.
To qualify for the Preschool Add-on license program, individuals must hold a current clear license in elementary education, special education, or family and consumer sciences education with specialization in child development/early childhood. |

On Campus or Online
At East Carolina University, the Preschool Add-on license program is offered on campus and online. The difference is the method of delivery. In both formats, licensure requirements prescribed by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) are maintained. Instructors for online courses are the same faculty who teach on campus courses.
For either method of delivery, you will apply to the Graduate School as a non-degree student for licensure only. The application form can be found at http://www.ecu.edu/gradschool/. Scroll down to application information on left side of page. |

Enrollment
