Perry Dunbar ’98, hospitality management, has been promoted to director, implementation for Marriott International. In this role, Perry will lead a team piloting and implementing new food and beverage concepts and brand initiatives globally within the Operations Deployment Division.

Formerly, Perry served as senior manager for the Courtyard Refreshing Business Implementation team where he supervised post opening performance support for franchise Courtyard Refreshing Business hotels, focusing heavily in food and beverage. Prior to the Courtyard team, Perry worked in management roles with Marriott’s Openings, Acquisitions, and Divestitures team for over seven years. He opened over 70 hotels as a training manager and also assisted owners, management companies, and a few hundred hotels under eight Marriott brands in the role of senior manager, Sales and Marketing Services. During his twelve years with Marriott, his past positions also included front office manager and general manager. Prior to joining Marriott, Perry worked with Aramark Foodservice. Perry lives in Springfield, VA, with his wife Ali and children Matthew and Taylor.
