Greenville, NC—Warner Bros. Pictures has invited East Carolina University to publicly screen the romantic comedy “No Reservations” to mark the picture’s release in DVD version. The movie, released in summer 2007, stars Katherine Zeta-Jones and Aaron Eckhart as New York City restaurateurs. Because “No Reservations” centers on people in the restaurant business, Warner Bros. Pictures has contacted hospitality management, nutrition, and culinary arts programs on college campuses with the opportunity to screen the movie for the public. The screening event will be held on Sunday, February 10, at 7:00 p.m. in Hendrix Auditorium on the East Carolina campus. The screening is free of charge and opened to the public. “No Reservations” promotional items will be raffled at the event.

Warner Bros. Pictures contacted Dr. William Forsythe, chair of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, and Dr. Robert O’Halloran, chair of the Department of Hospitality Management, about the screening. The marketing opportunity for Warner Bros. is obvious, but the event will also call attention to both academic programs, which continue to grow steadily. ECU’s hospitality management program is the largest such program in North Carolina. This movie screening kicks off a week of hospitality management (HMGT) events, including a key note speaker and reception on Tuesday evening February 12, the Hospitality Management Career Fair at the Greenville Convention Center on February 13, and the Hospitality Management Advisory Board meeting on February 14.
