Dr. Warsco

Greetings and welcome to the Department of Interior Design and Merchandising (IDMR). Our department offers a bachelor’s degree in interior design and a bachelor’s degree in merchandising.

If you imagine yourself designing living spaces, shopping spaces, historic renovations, or spaces for fun, leisure, and entertainment, our interior design program may be right for you. The program offers a talented and dynamic faculty and a curriculum focused on solving real-world design challenges. Our program is accredited by the Foundation for Interior Design Education & Research (FIDER).

I am also pleased to announce that the program recently received the top ranking of the 37 endorsed college programs evaluated by the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). Our merchandising program can prepare you to work with the retail and wholesale merchandising aspects of apparel and interiors products. We employ the expertise of both interior design and merchandising faculty to offer a bachelor’s degree in merchandising with an apparel or an interiors concentration.  Classroom experience is extended through internships and field trips to manufacturing plants, corporate headquarters of apparel and furnishings companies, New York City and Atlanta markets.  Alumni enjoy management positions with firms such as The Limited Corp., Crate & Barrel, Talbots, Home Depot, SAKS, Inc., Ikea, and Pottery Barn.

Thanks for your interest in our academic programs. If you need further information after viewing our Web site, please contact us.

Sincerely,
Katherine Warsco, PhD
