Bachelor of Science in Merchandising Interiors Concentration |

Merchandising Interiors covers most aspects of the home interiors and furnishing industry. The study of merchandising interiors covers elements that range from home furnishing designers, manufacturers, distribution, marketing, and end retail vendor. Students in our program have a vast range of experiences that may include study abroad trips, trips to companies and interior markets (for example: The Atlanta Market), creating visual displays for local retailers, and interacting with industry professionals, just to name a few. You should declare that you want to major in merchandising apparel after you have completed your sophomore year and meet the following criteria:
- Students must have a cumulative 2.5 grade point average
- complete a minimum of 12 semester hours at ECU including MRCH 2999 and MATH 1065.
Please contact your academic advisor to officially declare your major. |

Other Requirements: |

- The bachelor’s degree in merchandising requires a minor in business administration. It is recommended that the courses required for the business administration minor be taken in the order as listed.
- Internships are optional, but encouraged.
- Throughout the program, students must make a C or better in all MRCH/IDSN major courses and business administration minor courses.
