Minor in Criminal Justice
The minor in criminal justice requires 24 semester hours of credits as follows:

Core Courses: (9 s.h.)

JUST 1000  Introduction to Criminal Justice......................................3 s.h.

JUST 3004   Crime and Criminality...................................................3 s.h.

JUST 3500   Principles of Criminal Law............................................3 s.h.

The elective requirement is 15 s.h. and may not include JUST 4990.

Minor in Forensic Science

The Department of Criminal Justice offers a minor in forensic science. The minor requires 24 to 26 semester hours of credit in the following:

JUST   1000    Introduction to Criminal Justice...................................3 s.h.

JUST 3007      Criminal Investigation..................................................3 s.h.

JUST 3020      Introduction to Forensic Science.................................3 s.h.

JUST 3021      Forensic Impressions and Markings............................3 s.h.

JUST 3022      Crime Scene Investigation...........................................3 s.h.

**Substitute core courses may be approved by the Chair of the Department of Criminal Justice.

To be admitted to the minor in forensic science, students need to have a minimum overall 2.5 GPA. They are also expected to maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 throughout the program.
