Welcome to the Department of Nutrition Science! The study of nutrition is how food affects the body; thus, nutrition is an integrative science that draws from physiology, biology, chemistry, psychology, and other disciplines. Our programs enable employment in a wide range of careers. Former students work in clinical settings, the food industry, non-profit agencies, sports nutrition, nutrition education, nutrition programs in state and federal government, or serve as private practitioners or scientific researchers. Nutrition Science is a great pre-professional major if your career goals are in the health sciences. We currently offer an undergraduate and graduate degree, a minor in Nutrition, and an accredited Dietetics Internship. |
