The nutrition with science track (NS) requires 120 semester hours and includes 16 semester hours of electives. This track promotes elective flexibility to support a variety of professional goals. The NS track is well suited for pre-professional programs in occupational therapy, physician assistant studies, physical therapy, dentistry, medicine, optometry, pharmacy and veterinary medicine. Students should consider minors in areas that complement their career goals. Suggested minors include public health, business, psychology, exercise science, or health promotion. Because there are few pre-requisite requirements for the upper-level nutrition courses within this track, it is compatible for students who transfer from other programs or universities. Admission and retention for the NS track requires a 2.5 GPA.
