Greenville, NC, USA – Information Session Planned for Social Work Degree Program in Kenansville
The School of Social Work at East Carolina University will host an informational session for persons interested in an extended time social work programs in Kenansville. Plans are underway to offer a master of social work (MSW) program at James Sprunt Community College in Kenansville, NC. An information session for interested students will be held at Monk’s Auditorium on the campus of James Sprunt Community College in Kenansville on Thursday, October 29, 2009, at 6:30 p.m.
The MSW program is a 60 credit hour, degree-focused program with classes being offered on Saturdays through a hybrid of delivery methods, including face-to-face and online instruction..
Requirements for admission into the MSW program includes: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited undergraduate institution; a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale in all undergraduate work and a 3.0 in the senior year; a satisfactory score on either the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE); and a broad-based liberal arts foundation with a minimum of six courses in basic social and behavioral science. Applications will be due February 1, 2009.
