Why did you choose ECU?
I chose ECU because I wanted to move back home and be close to my family.  Growing up in Greenville, the Pirates have always been a part of home.

Were you are transfer student? If so, from where?
Yes.  University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Guilford Technical Community College.

Why did you choose your major?
I chose B-K because I love working with children.  I want to help tomorrow’s leaders reach their full potential.

What would you tell potential students who are considering your major?
This is a great major with a ton of rewards.  There is nothing compared to seeing a young child grow and learn.

 Have you participated in any internship or undergraduate research opportunities? If so, describe.
I have worked in Practicums at several different schools with pre-k and kindergarten children.

What other activities are you involved with at ECU (social clubs, student organizations, etc.) and/or the community?
CHE Dean’s Student Council; ECU Early Childhood Student Organization; I volunteer for American Red Cross, Children’s and Home Society.

Do you have any other hobbies/interests?
I love Braves baseball and I collect butterflies.

What is your best ECU memory?
My best ECU memory is walking into my first class.

How has your experience(s) at ECU changed you?
It is a different experience coming to ECU as an adult student.  You get a different perspective on life.  ECU has helped me see that perspective.

What are your future plans (grad school, job, travel, etc.)?
My future plans are to get a job working with young children.

What would be your dream job?
My dream job would be working in a per-k or kindergarten classroom at a beach town.
