Why did you choose ECU?

  • Location – I chose ECU because of its convenient location. I love being close to home.
  • Major - I also chose ECU because of the accredited Interior Design program.

Were you are transfer student? If so, from where?
Yes. I transferred from Coastal Carolina Community College.

Why did you choose your major?
I have always had an interest in IDSN because of its creativity and business aspects.

What would you tell potential students who are considering your major?
I would tell them to make sure they are passionate about IDSN because it requires a lot of work.

What other activities are you involved with at ECU (social clubs, student organizations, etc.) and/or the community?
I am on the Transfer Student Advisory Board.  Omicron Delta Kappa National Honor Society member.  Resident Advisor in CHS.  President of Tau Sigma National Honor Society.  I am a Pirate-to-Pirate Mentor.  Chancellor’s Student Leadership Academy.

Do you have any other hobbies/interests?
I enjoy playing tennis and doing arts and crafts.

What is your best ECU memory?
My best ECU memory was becoming an RA because I have met so many great people.

How has your experience(s) at ECU changed you?
I have become more confident in my ability to lead.

What are your future plans (grad school, job, travel, etc.)?
After graduation, I plan on moving to the West Coast to pursue an Interior Design career.

What would be your dream job?
My dream job would be working as a Senior Designer at a commercial Interior Design/Architectural firm that focuses on hospitality design.
