Social Workers with a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) generalist degree may practice in a wide variety of public and private settings, including mental health, medicine, protective services for children and adults, public schools, juvenile and adult corrections, public welfare, substance abuse counseling, child welfare, and community organizations.Those students who go on to obtain a Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) may work in the same or similar environments (as listed above), possibly acting in a manageral or supervisory role. MSW students may also go into private practice and/or clinical settings. |
