Glassblowing Demonstrations
| Scientific Glassblowers are frequently asked to give demonstrations
of their craft or profession. Students and educators of all ages
that find what we do interesting and/or fascinating are eager to learn
about this thing called "glassblowing". I have found the most successful
and educational glassblowing demonstrations involve student participation.
While blowing glass bubbles may seem basic and elementary to the
professional glassblower, how soon we forget the impact on the non-glassblower.
Watch someone who has not seen the glass tube held to the torch flame,
watching the color changes in the glass and then, out of the fire
and upon command,
