The Engagement and Outreach Scholars Academy (EOSA) provides professional development and project support for community engagement. Faculty selected for the program participate in cohort-based workshops and develop a research project with a community partner. Projects result in a culture of partnership, reciprocity, and high quality scholarship across the ECU campus and beyond.

Students are assigned to work on each EOSA project and they participate in the Student Engagement and Outreach Academy (SEOSA). These graduate and undergraduate students come from a variety of fields of study. Students learn about community engagement and are involved in EOSA project design, data collection and analysis, publication, and other aspects of scholarly research and creative activity.
