Our Emergency & Crisis Service operates on a first-come-first-served basis, and is offered to those students who are experiencing a psychological crisis. Appointments offered through this service are relatively brief, usually less than 30 minutes.

If you are currently experiencing a psychological crisis or emergency situation, please call the Center immediately at 328-6661 or report to 137 Umstead Residence hall during regular business hours to arrange an immediate crisis appointment.
After Hours Emergency & Crisis Services
The Center for Counseling and Student Development offers after hours crisis services (weekdays after 5:00pm and on Saturday/Sunday). If you are experiencing a psychological emergency/crisis please contact the ECU Police Department at 252-328-6787 to have the on call counselor paged.
Counseling Center Emergency on call crisis services will end at 5:00pm on Friday, August 5, 2011 and resume on Friday, August 19, 2011 at 5:00pm. Should you have an emergency during this time, please call Real Crisis at 252-758-4357, go to your local emergency department, or call 911.
