Trips get you outside away from campus, visiting beautiful areas, and learning new skills. Trips are staffed by trained student leaders, who are always excited to share their passion with you. Our trips are designed for those with no experience and we offer more advanced trips throughout the semesters.
Regardless of your experience, we want to make sure you love every minute of your time in the outdoors.
Trips and clinics are open to ECU students, faculty, staff and their guests. Members of the Student Recreation Center pay the member cost; guests of members pay the non-member trip cost. All students pay the member cost and payment due at the time of registration.
You can register for a trip by visiting the Adventure Center, located in the Student Recreation Center or signup online. We accept cash, check and VISA/MasterCard. The cost of the trips varies based on the type of trip, member and non-member costs can be found listed under each trip.
Trip costs include all equipment, transportation, and instruction. For overnight or multi-day trips, the cost includes food & lodging/camping.
Pre-trip meetings allow you to meet the trip staff and other participants, learn the itinerary and ask questions regarding the trip.
Pre-trip meetings are usually around 6pm and last for about 20-30 minutes, including sizing equipment. The exact date of each pre-trip will vary, usually the Wednesday or Thursday prior to any day trip or 1 week before any overnight trip.
