Banner INB Requires Sun's JPI
Just a reminder to everyone that we are now using Sun’s JPI for Banner INB access instead of Oracle’s J-initiator. This was turned on permanently for Banner INB PROD in the first part of March, 2008.
You will need java run-time environment (jre) on your workstation for the JPI to install and work correctly. Once installed, it will prompt you to restart your workstation which you’ll need to do for the changes to take effect on your workstation. If you need assistance, please contact the University Help Desk at 328 9866.
***Please Note***If you do not have jre on your workstation, Banner INB will not start correctly – you will just receive a blank screen.
How do I use Banner Human Resources?
It is highly recommended that everyone read the Banner Human Resources Training Manual and the Initiating EPAFs Training Manual. The manuals contain details on terminology, navigation, routing, the EPAF process, and a step by step instruction for each EPAF. In addition, they provide answers to many questions regarding the Banner Human Resources system.
Click the link on the right, "Where are the Banner Human Resources Training Materials?" and/or "Banner Documentation" to access the documentation and training manuals which are now password protected. Just use your Pirate ID and Passphrase and click yes to display non-secure items. Once you are logged in, you will be able to access all of the website. When you navigate to other pages within the website, you will have to click yes again to display non-secure items.
