High School Seniors
This year’s 2009-2010 freshmen class has 24 Cadets. Fourteen Cadets have been awarded four year scholarships and another 7 are in the National Guard or Army Reserves. Most of these Cadets participated in at least one varsity sport in high school. Several of them were active in their high school JROTC programs with some serving as commanders of their unit. Almost all have served in some type of leadership position in high school. The average SAT score of this year’s scholarship class is 1060 (math and verbal only) and their average high school GPA is 3.4.
We are actively looking for high school seniors who have demonstrated the academic, leadership and athletic backgrounds similar to that described above. Your demonstrated interest and success in those areas listed above as well as a desire to serve as an officer in the Army are good indicators that you will enjoy and succeed in our program.
