Field Training Exercises

The purpose of field training exercises (FTX) is to prepare the juniors for LDAC and to train the freshman and sophomores on basic Army skills. ECU Army ROTC often travels to Ft. Bragg, NC, Ft. Pickett, VA and Camp Butner, NC to conduct these training events.

The FTX’s are held on weekends during the academic year. There is generally one Battalion FTX during each semester and a Joint FTX during the spring semester. The purpose of the Joint FTX is to collaborate with other universities and evaluate the junior class before sending them to LDAC.
