About Blackboard

Blackboard is the web based course management system ECU uses to deliver online course material. Blackboard provides a platform upon which instructors can teach using any theory or model for delivering content to enhance student achievement. Blackboard 7.2 introduced a number of new enhancements and features to existing tools including the content areas, gradebook, email, the discussion board, export manager, messaging and course interface.
