The division is headed by the
Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, the university's chief academic and student affairs officer. This division is responsible for administering all academic and administrative policies and operations of the seven colleges, additional key academic functions and activities that support the academic demands of the university.
The division includes the important work of developing the “whole student” through the programs, activities, and functions that comprise both the academic and student life on campus. These functions help ensure that students at East Carolina get the opportunity to develop – academically, intellectually, socially, professionally, and culturally.
