At the School of Nursing, we take great pride in our rich and diverse student body. Our students are the heart and soul of the nursing program and they represent us well as graduates. The undergraduate program is designed to allow you to complete your junior and senior years in classes with the same students. Clinical sections are in small groups of 8-10 students. This design encourages class camaraderie and helps students to get to know their professors. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible for licensure as a registered nurse.
Nursing is one of the most respected and flexible professions in the world. As a professional nurse you will find job opportunities wherever you chose to live and you will earn an income that is well-above that for most entry level college graduates. The job forecast for nurses with a bachelors degree is very bright with many advancement opportunities. We expect this to be the case throughout the next decade. Nursing is also a career that offers the personal satisfaction of helping others.
Choosing a career is a very
important step in your life. If you think nursing may be for you, please browse
our program offerings and be sure to contact our Undergraduate Student Services
office located in room 112 Rivers West. We would love to talk to with you about
nursing.
