Hello. I’m Alan White, dean of Thomas Harriot College of Arts and Sciences at East Carolina University. The College of Arts and Sciences offers programs in the liberal arts which include the humanities, the natural sciences, mathematics, and the social sciences. Harriot College provides major and minor studies in the liberal arts at the undergraduate level and selected major studies at the master's and doctoral levels. Harriot College faculty are scholars dedicated to the intrinsic value of learning and committed to excellence in teaching and advising, research and creativity, productivity, and service. Students completing a liberal arts degree are prepared to become leaders in society and succeed in careers in a wide array of professional fields.
