Tutoring is available by appointment in most 1000 and 2000 level and select upper division courses each semester and summer sessions. Tutors work with students at the PASC main office located in 2300 Old Cafeteria Complex. Interested students can call 252-737-3009 or stop by the main office to make a tutoring appointment.
The PASC hosts night tutoring on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 7:00pm - 9:00pm and Thursday evenings from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, 2300 Old Cafeteria Complex. Check in for tutoring starts at 6:45pm.
The Pirate Academic Success Center (PASC ) is a College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) International Tutor Training Certified Program. The PASC is one of hundreds of certified programs worldwide. Tutor training guidelines from the CRLA ensures that PASC tutors have in-depth tutoring training in addition to experience in tutoring. Tutors can advance through three levels of training, with increasing levels of experience, training, and responsibility. PASC requires Level 1 training for all tutors.
PASC staff will meet individually with students who wish to improve their study skills on a one on one basis. Assistance focuses on the following topics: obtaining college success, enhancing test taking skills, improving study habits, learning textbook reading tips, effective note taking in lectures, improving academic time management and motivation, developing course success strategies and referrals to other campus resources if needed.

Specialized workshops are sponsored by the Pirate Academic Success Center throughout the academic year. Workshops are designed to focus on specific issues facing ECU students and help provide valuable information and strategies to improve and enhance their academic performance.
