Academic Programs

Welcome to the Office of Academic Programs. Our office facilitates university-wide undergraduate and graduate degree program development and refinement in the academic and student affairs and health sciences divisions. The office assures that new and revised academic programs are in compliance with the rules and regulations of East Carolina University, the University of North Carolina system, our regional accrediting body, and the state legislature. The office also supports curriculum development, produces all versions of the university’s undergraduate and graduate catalogs, and approves all text regarding academic degree requirements included in publications. The Center for Faculty Excellence, the Volunteer and Service-Learning Center, Writing Across the Curriculum, the University Writing Program, and the NC Early Math Placement Program are located within this office. These five programs support the academic success of both faculty and students.
