Pirate Port
Pirate Port—the new admissions web portal is designed to help students receive a personalized admissions experience. Students are encouraged to sign up through our Web site at www.ecu.edu/admissions to receive additional information about East Carolina University specific to their needs.
Blogging (Online Journaling)
Blogging is an amazing way for current East Carolina students to share their experiences with students who are planning to follow a similar path. Your students will be able to read about the daily life of our students and gain insight on whether ECU is a good fit for them.
Chatting
Whether your students have questions about the admissions process, financial aid, or campus visits, there will be chat sessions throughout the year to answer their questions through instant, personal chats with Admissions Counselors.
Application Checklist
All applicants will receive an email notification of receipt after submitting an application for admission. The email will provide instructions for accessing an online application checklist, including a user ID and password. This will be through the Pirate Port system described above. Students applying 2010 and thereafter are encouraged to sign up and check their admissions status online as this will be our way of communicating with our prospects.
(We accept and strongly recommend sending transcripts via NC Wise (available for North Carolina public high schools ONLY). We will also accept ESCRIPT electronic transcripts to help expedite the process of an admission decision).
