Fall 2011 Freshman Profile
For the fall 2010 term, we received approximately 20,000 applications from prospective freshman students, and offered 11,000 of those admission. The mean academic credentials of admitted students this year were:
♦ Unweighted GPA: 3.1/4.0
♦ Weighted GPA: 3.5/4.0
Counselor Portal
Counselors now have the ability to track applicants from their high school online by using the new Counselor Portal. The counselor portal delivers precise information concerning the status of an applicant. If you are a high school counselor and you would like more information relating to becoming a part of the Counselor Portal, please email admis@ecu.edu with Counselor Portal in the subject line.

Application Checklist
All applicants will receive an email notification of receipt after submitting an application for admission. The email will provide instructions for accessing an online application checklist through Pirate Port, including a user ID and password. Students applying for 2010 and thereafter are encouraged to sign up and check their admissions status online, as this will be our official mode of communication. We strongly recommend sending transcripts via NC Wise (available for North Carolina public high schools ONLY). We will also accept ESCRIPT electronic transcripts to help expedite the process of an admission decision. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU REFERENCE THE NC HIGH SCHOOL GUIDANCE COUNSELOR MODULE AT WWW.CFNC.ORG.
