Transfer Admitted Student Checklist
Now that you have been admitted, there are several important steps for enrollment that must be completed in the checklist below:
❏ Enrollment Verification Fall term transfers must submit the $100 Enrollment Verification/Tuition Deposit form from your admit packet to reserve a spot. Submit this form by May 1 (for Fall term enrollment) to the ECU Cashier's Office, 105 Old Cafeteria Complex, Greenville, NC 27858. (Transfer students admitted after May 1 must submit their enrollment deposits as soon as possible.)
❏ Immunization/Health Form The student Report of Medical History must be returned complete with immunization records to Student Health Services. You must be cleared as “health compliant” prior to registration. PLEASE NOTE: If you applied and were admitted as "online only" for distance education, the Immunization/Health Form will not be required of you.
❏ Campus Living Contract if you choose to live and dine on campus, please submit your housing and dining contract as soon as possible once it becomes available online.
❏ Financial Aid Make sure to complete a FAFSA (Free Application for Financial Student Aid) form as soon as possible, and include ECU as an official recipient of your SAR (Student Aid Report). This will determine your eligibility for grants, loans, work-study, and other financial aid programs. ECU's FAFSA code is 002923.
❏ Student Technology Resources at East Carolina University. Once you receive your Banner ID from the First Year Center, you will need to set up your ECU e-mail address. Please review the attached flyer regarding information about your e-mail account, OneStop, and other technology resources at East Carolina.
❏ Campus Visit If you have not already done so, validating your college choice with a visit to campus is highly recommended. You can arrange a campus information session and tour through the admissions office, or plan to attend our Spring/Fall Open House. Click on the "Register For a Tour" link on the right hand side of this page. Contact the Admissions Office at admis@ecu.edu for more information.
❏ Transfer Orientation Visit http://www.ecu.edu/ostfyp/ for detailed transfer dates and orientation information, or contact the Orientation Office at 252-328-4173. Students with less than 30 transferable hours at the time of admission must attend the Freshman Orientation. Students with more than 30 transferable hours may attend transfer orientation or complete an online orientation module.
❏ Official Transcripts Enrolling students must submit their final official transcripts from all institutions attended (including graduation date) before the start of the upcoming academic year. Send transcripts to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, 106 Whichard Building, East Carolina University, Greenville, NC 27858-4353.Note: All transfer students enrolled elsewhere at the time of their admission to East Carolina will have a hold on their record until final official transcripts are received.
