Freshman Experience
The Office of Student Development realizes the difficult transition student-athletes must make between high school and college. In an effort to appease freshmen anxiety and create a smooth transition we offer our Freshmen Experience program. Our student-athletes participate in a variety of events and activities geared towards making their first year at East Carolina a success.
Freshman Orientation
Freshmen orientation is specifically designed to help student-athletes acclimate to their new environment. Orientation covers topics ranging from:

The Office of Student Development also offers study skill seminars, taught by our Learning Specialist, which are available for teams or individuals who may require extra training in study skills, note taking skills, or test taking skills. These seminars are offered on an as needed basis at the request of a student-athlete, academic coordinator, or coach.
