The Conflict Resolution and Mediation Programs exists to serve the members of the ECU community by providing informal conflict resolution services. Our vision is to provide services that promote a non-adversarial, collaborative, non-threatening atmosphere to resolving interpersonal conflict. We do this by being impartial, neutral, non-aligned and maintaining confidentiality to the extent required by applicable law. Visitors to our office come on a voluntary basis and may decide at any time to seek other means to address their concerns.
Informal conflict resolution methods such as mediation, facilitation and conflict coaching are fast becoming the preferred method for resolving interpersonal conflict in public and private organizations. Some of the reported benefits of using these methods are increased satisfaction, minimal costs and shorter timeframe for reaching a resolution. Perhaps, the biggest benefit is that you are in charge of the outcome.
I invite you to explore the website to read more about the Conflict Resolution and Mediation Programs and the services we offer. We look forward to serving you.
