The Early Assurance Program in Nursing is a program offered jointly by the Honors College and the College of Nursing at East Carolina University. The program was established for prospective students who are specifically interested in excellence in academics and nursing.  Under this program, students are guaranteed entry into the College of Nursing's BSN program and are also provided the opportunity to enter the PhD program upon completion of their undergraduate degree provided they satisfy program requirements.  Each year, three incoming Honors College students are selected for this program.  High school seniors who are North Carolina residents are invited to apply for this program as they complete their application to the Honors College.

Program requirements include:

  1. Remaining eligible for the Honors College
  2. North Carolina Residency
  3. Earning a minimum GPA of 3.5
  4. Participating in required group and enrichment activities
