Why did you choose to attend East Carolina University?
I chose East Carolina because of its amazing medical program. I know I want to be a doctor so choosing ECU was obvious. I also really liked that everyone on campus was nice and was willing to help me if I needed it.
What has your scholarship enabled you to do?
I have been able to meet incredible people and work with great organizations that I wouldn't have experienced without this scholarship. I volunteer at the Golden Living retirement home with the rest of the Scholars and it's been an amazing experience to impact someone's life.
What unique leadership opportunities have you experienced at the university?
As part of the Honors Ambassadors program I have numerous opportunities to help lead prospective freshmen and impact their lives and decisions when it comes to college. I also can voice my opinion about the new Honors College or the institution as a whole.
What are your career plans/aspirations?
I plan to attend the Brody School of Medicine and once I graduate, specialize in cardiac care. I hope to be a Cardiologist and help patients to the best of my ability.
How have you made a positive impact while you have been at East Carolina University?
I think I have made a positive impact by volunteering at the retirement home and also at other organizations and events on campus. As part of various clubs I put my best effort forward to help volunteer my time and efforts to any cause special to me.
